Tall Dark and Vampire by Sara Humphreys

Tall Dark and Vampire is the very first book in the Dead in the City series.  This series is similar to The Love At Stake series by Kerrelyn Sparks. The hot new series is due to release in early August.  I am a huge fan of Ms. Sparks series and Dead in the City is sure to become a fan favorite as well. 

I really enjoyed Tall, Dark and Vampire and I am looking forward to the upcoming installments of this series.  I can see the potential and can not wait to see where the author takes the vamps in the future.

I love the paranormal genre and this book did not disappoint.  Readers will find themselves ingulfed in the world of vampires and love every minute of it.  This page turner left me wanting more of the NYC vamps.  I devoured this book in one sitting.

Olivia Hollingsworth is “boss lady” of her small NYC coven and night club; having only turned few humans into vamps nearing death to save them.  She is also a vampire with a heart, saving stray animals, practicing abstinence, and protecting her family.  The exact opposite of what vampires these days do.  After having strange dreams about her ex fiancé, by the way vamps are not suppose to dream, who died over 300 years ago he walks into her bar.

Doug Paxton is a detective working on a case when he walks into Olivia’s bar and feels the pull to her, after she has haunted his dreams for as long as he can remember.  Trying to solve a case that has to do with the woman of your dreams is hard work.  Can the duo act professional or will their sweet dreams bring trouble that neither want?
