Temptation by Kathryn Barrett
This is the first time I have read an Amish type book, after reading the synopsis I thought I would give it a try. I always seem to enjoy the
Hollywood type books or books that involve actors of so sort. This book cover was cute. It caught my attention right off the
bat. The story was just ok for me, don’t
get me wrong it was a sweet story but didn’t really draw me in. I don’t know a lot about the Amish, but the
story was believable. The dilemma that
Jacob and Lauren face seem real, but I didn’t get the wow factor I was looking
for. For a sweet Christian fiction, this
would be a good choice, but there is some mild sexual content. 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Intrigued by the Amish simplicity, she's soon gardening and baking plum pies—and enjoying it. Jacob fights the urge to question the teachings of his Amish beliefs—despite his desire to create furniture that is beautiful as well as useful—and struggles with his longing for the sexy stranger who makes him feel truly alive for the first time. As his attraction grows, so do his doubts, until he's forced to face temptation and decide once and for all what is truly worth the fight.
